There are all kinds of pizzas out there – thin crust, thick crust, deep dish, you name it, there’s a pie for every person out there. But, who knew that some of the best pizza in North Atlanta is right here at The Golf Club of Georgia? That’s right, the club cranks out about 250 pizzas a month and until you’ve tried one, you just don’t know what you are missing.
The secret is the special pizza oven and the ingredients to making a good pizza pie. As for ingredients, the club spares no cost to produce the best pizza – Caputo flour from Italy, fresh baker’s yeast, Grande cheese, pecorino Romano cheese from Sardinia and a couple other secret ones we cannot reveal. We make our own tomato sauce with 7-11 tomatoes (brand name, not the convenience store) and hand-toss all of our dough.
How we bake the pizza is also a big part of creating the perfect pizza. The club uses the Roto-Flex pizza oven. The oven is built to order and is a circular, rotating oven that consistently bakes each pizza at 600 degree Fahrenheit for seven minutes to produce a thin and crispy crust which captures all the delicious flavors you savor with every bite.
