The recent refurbishments at The Golf Club of Georgia included one of the most coveted and cherished areas of the club – the Fralic Grill and Locker Room. The Fralic Grill is named in dedication to and in remembrance of Bill Fralic, most commonly known for his football career which began at Penn Hills High School in Pennsylvania. Following high school, Fralic was highly recruited and attended the University of Pittsburgh on a football scholarship.
As an offensive tackle, he was named a consensus All-American his junior and senior season. In the 1985 NFL Draft, Fralic was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the second overall pick. Playing offensive guard, Fralic went on to be named All-Pro in 1986 and 1987, and was named Pro Bowl from 1986 to 1989. Following football, Atlanta was home for Fralic and he enjoyed spending much of his time surrounded by friends at The Golf Club of Georgia. To many current and former members of The Golf Club of Georgia, Bill Fralic was revered for the effort he expended to further enhance the experience at the Club.
Overlooking the ninth hole of the Lakeside Course, the Fralic Grill Room is a sought-after space for members to gather for a beverage or meal following their round. A large quad screen television allows for multiple simulcasts of the big games of the day, or enjoy other seating areas with access to large high-definition TV screens. Local craft beers and an expansive wine list are available at the large wrap-around bar in the Fralic Grill Room.
The Fralic Grill Room also offers outdoor seating overlooking the ninth hole of the Lakeside Course, so you can sip your favorite wine and enjoy one of the many cigar selections we offer. Our dedicated staff is prepared to also provide a full complement of member services including shoe buffing and repair, a full assortment of toiletries and towels for the ultra-modern shaving and shower areas. For golf members, complimentary locker and bag storage is included in the membership. For our lady golfers, there is a Ladies Locker Room located on the fourth floor of the 56,000 square foot clubhouse.
